Kellie Terry from Indianapolis IN has been on the national kidney transplant waiting list since 2022. Hypertension led to her kidney disease diagnosis in 2021. She initially managed her condition through peritoneal dialysis while maintaining employment and family responsibilities. Following a serious infection, she transitioned to in-clinic dialysis requiring multiple weekly visits. Kidney disease and high blood pressure are more prevalent in Black communities, where transplant wait times are often extended. Contact: Indiana Donor Network — indianadonornetwork.org.
