Help William Fritts Find a Living Kidney Donor

William Fritts

William Fritts is almost 3 years old. He was born at 30 weeks, weighing just 3 pounds, 13 ounces, alongside his twin brother, Beau. When William was only 3 days old, doctors diagnosed him with a posterior urethral valve (PUV) obstruction. It led to end-stage kidney disease.

Every night at home, William receives 10 hours of continuous cycling peritoneal dialysis. He uses a G-tube, takes 10 medications each day, and needs three specialists and many appointments each month.

And William is still a little boy who loves being outside, reading, playing with his brothers and baby sister, eating fries, and spending time with the family dog. He loves Mickey Mouse, Bluey, stickers, bubbles, and trips to the park.

William has been on the deceased donor list since October 17, 2025. His family was recently told that finding a living donor may be their best chance of getting him the kidney he needs.

Could you be a match? The family is seeking a healthy potential donor with type O blood, under age 55, and a BMI below 30. To ask about match testing, email kidneylivingdonor@kumc.edu.
